Gloss, Glaze, which is which?

With working at a salon, I've learned the difference between glosses and glazes, a huge misconception! A gloss is a bit more permanent than a glaze. It adds shine and adjusts the tone like if your highlights are too bright/brassy, a gloss will subdue them. A gloss penetrates the hair's cuticle, so it lasts two to four weeks. A glaze, on the other hand, simply coats the shaft with shine and semipermanent color; it's like putting a top coat of polish on your hair, and it lasts a week or two.

If you want just shine, look for a "clear" gloss or glaze (like Frédéric Fekkai Salon Glaze Clear Shine Rinse, $28 at Ulta). If you're looking to boost your color or bump up your highlights, choose a gloss or glaze with "semipermanent" color (like John Frieda Luminous Color Glaze, $10 at Target).  I've used the Fekkai Salon Glaze and it was amazing but only lasted a couple weeks. I'm about to use the John Frieda Glaze once I get my blonde high lights back!

Tend Skin Liquid

Hello!!!! I've been a huge slacker lately! Back on the grind! Today's product is the Tend Skin Liquid. This is a clear liquid that is used against razor bumps, ingrown hairs and razor burn, for men and women. I've used it for my bikini area for a few months and it's reduced the irritating razor burn and bumps. All men and women get it in the worst and most embarrassing areas! So let's figure out what the difference is between bumps and ingrown hairs and let's get rid of it. Most reviews give Tend Skin 4.5 out of 5 stars! (Sephora.com). The prices range from $20.00 to $50.00, available at Sephora.com.

Razor bumps are formed when the growing hairs exit the outer layer of the skin, curl over and burrow into the adjacent skin, resulting in a raised bump.

Ingrown hairs form when hairs growing back after freshly shaving, waxing or other methods and fail to grow out the skin. The hair curls over inside the follicles under the skin then creates a bump. How I use it is I apply it to a cotton swab to the dry area at night and let it dry then go about my business. I also got my male friends hooked on it for their faces and chest!

Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Acetylsalicylic Acid, Cyclomethicone, Glycerin, Diglycerin, Polysorbate 80.

Precautions: If you have serious aspirin allergies and are pregnant, do not use! Always try a test patch first! Don't not ingest. Product is flammable. Keep out of eyes. Don't use with exfoliants.

As seen in Lucky, July 2006 & 2004, Redbook, June 2005, Shape February 2005, Seventeen October 2004, Allure June 2004, Cosmopolitan May 2004 & many more magazines feature this product!

If you try it, you'll love it!! :) Thank you, Love XOKMNXO.

It was founded in 1981 for tattoo and body art progress in Hollywood.  Now it's sold for retail in Sephora and you can buy the whole system with the makeup pods. MAKE UP FOR EVER!

Good afternoon, I have been really slacking! I have received lots of positive feed back! Yay! My favorite makeup line overall is MAKE UP FOR EVER. It's an amazing line. You can purchase everything piece of makeup you need, whether it's foundation or liner, you'll be one hundred and fifty percent thrilled. The two products that are my favorites are the Loose Powder- HD: Microfinish powder. It's a universal translucent finishing powder to be applied over foundation. What is does is, it sets and slightly mattifies the skin without changing it's natural contours and skin color. Which is nice because your skin won't look "cake-y". It's one hundred percent mineral silica powder which it helps with shine on the skin and softens appearance imperfections.  It's universal for all skin tones and it keeps your shine with an all day radiant glow. I love it! Also, it's talc-free which does not dry the skin out and it's dermatologically tested, so it's safe!!! Since it's one hundred percent mineral free, you can layer and layer this on throughout the day without breaking out(acne).  My girlfriends die for this product and my clients at the salon! My second favorite product is the HC MicroPerfecting Primer. They come in six color-correcting shades and one transparent shade. All are lightweight, oil-free complexion correcting and enhance the skin's texture and primes/holds the makeup application. Both these products word AMAZING together! These primers deeply nourish, moisturizes and softens the skin with a glowing effect. This will also act as a protective layer on the skin and it allows the foundation to glide one easily and lasts longer. You will fall in love. These products remind me of smashbox and MAC but what makes MAKE UP FOR EVER different is it's mineral based. So it's 100% cleaner and has less chemicals in it.
You apply the finishing powder with a powder brush and apply the primer with fingertips.

Make Up by Mario Dedivanovic

Morning! My favorite make up artist for the celebrities is Mario Dedivanovic. He's done Kim Kardashian and the Kardashian clan's makeup for years, who I'm obsessed with! I came across a gorgeous picture of Kim Kardashian and her make up was flawless and Mario posted a tutorial on how he did her makeup, So I wanted to share the secrets with you, straight from Mario's website!

"SKIN-
I started with moisturizing Kim’s face and neck using La Mer’s The Moisturizing Lotion.  I let that settle for about five minutes and then applied Veil Fluid Makeup (No. 3: Sand) by Hourglass all over the skin and blended with a damp sponge.  This foundation gives a luminous, lasting coverage.  Under the eyes, I used By Terry’s Touche Veloutee Concealer in the Cream shade.  I blended a bit on the eye lids as well to prime them for the eyeshadow. To set skin I used a bit of Jane Iredale PureMatte Finish Powder, mainly on the T-zone and over the concealer to set.
EYE  brows, lids and lashes
I filled in Kim’s brows with Brow Tech To Go in Taupe, by Smashbox.  To get the soft, golden shade on Kim’s eyes, first I layered LORAC Tantalizer Baked Bronzer on eyelids and along the  lower lashes. Next I went over it and applied eye M Glam highlighter over eyelids, inner corners of eyes and a bit on the brow bones.  Sweep Eye M Glam along lower lashes as well and blend it out to get that smoky golden look.  I defined the upper lash line with By Terry eyeliner in Macassar Brown.  In the waterline or inner rim of the eyes, I used the Eye M Glam all over pencil (available soon) I added a few medium sized individual lashes by Reese Robert (really cool line of eyelashes!) for extra volume and finished off the eyes with two coats of Hypnose Mascara by Lancome on the top and bottom lashes.
CHEEKS-
I bronzed the hollows of Kim’s cheeks, along her hairline, jaw and down the center of neck with Terracotta Bronzing powder by Guerlain. I added a hint of color to the apple of the cheeks using LORAC blush in Pink and swept over the apples and along the cheekbones with Giella’s Eye M Glam highlighter.  I used the left-over highlighter on the brush and applied it down the bridge of the nose and on the cupids bow of her lips.  To add some of that golden glow to the body, I used Sigma’s Body Brush which is plated in 18K gold and has super-soft bristles!  Just dip the brush into the Eye M Glam lid and apply straight to your body.
LIPS -
I lined Kim’s lips with Josie Maran lipliner in Natural and kept the lip shade in the same color family as the cheeks by applying a blend of MAC lipstick in Half ‘n Half followed by Eye M Glam AcryLip gloss (available soon.)
I finished off Kim’s makeup by spraying a light mist of Rose Water by Dream Organics on her face and neck.  This sets the makeup and gives a fresh, dewy look to the skin."
